VoltPlayer Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

VoltPlayer is a video player application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information related to users while using VoltPlayer.

We take user privacy seriously. VoltPlayer's core features include local video playback, remote media playback, Web Video browser-based playback, IPTV playlist import, playback history, subtitle and audio track selection, playback speed control, and cache acceleration. Unless the user actively uses a specific feature, VoltPlayer does not upload your video files, playlists, or media content.

VoltPlayer does not provide, host, or distribute any films, live channels, or copyrighted content. Users are responsible for importing, connecting to, or opening video resources they are authorized to access.

1. Information We Collect

VoltPlayer processes data primarily on the user's device. Depending on the features used, the app may store the following information locally:

This information is used solely to enable video playback, media management, resume playback, remote connections, and playback experience improvements.

2. Local Video & Local Data

Local video files, subtitle files, playback history, and preferences imported into VoltPlayer are stored on the user's device.

Unless the user actively uses system share, export, remote connection, or other related features, VoltPlayer does not upload local video or subtitle files.

3. Remote Media Connection Information

When a user adds a WebDAV, SMB, FTP, Emby, Jellyfin, Plex, or other remote media service, VoltPlayer may store the server address, port, username, password, access token, or other connection details provided by the user.

This information is used to help the user connect to their own NAS, home server, shared folder, or personal media library. Users are responsible for ensuring the legality of connected services and media content, and for keeping their credentials secure.

4. IPTV Playlists

VoltPlayer allows users to import M3U, M3U8, TXT, and other IPTV playlist formats. The app may store imported playlists, channel names, groups, icons, favorites, and EPG data locally.

VoltPlayer does not provide, bundle, or recommend any IPTV live channels or sources. Playlist content is provided solely by the user, who is responsible for its quality, availability, and legality.

5. Web Video Playback

VoltPlayer's built-in browser can open web pages and, where technically possible, detect playable video resources such as m3u8 and mp4 links.

When using the Web Video feature, the app may access web pages based on URLs actively opened by the user and pass detected video resources to the player. Some websites may not be compatible due to login requirements, DRM, encryption, hotlink protection, regional restrictions, or other technical limitations.

VoltPlayer is not designed to bypass access restrictions, circumvent copyright protection, or download protected content. Users must ensure they have lawful rights to access and play any web video content.

6. Cache & Temporary Files

To improve playback stability and reduce buffering, VoltPlayer may create cache or temporary playback files on the device. These files are used solely to enhance the playback experience. Users can delete them via in-app settings or the system storage manager.

7. Purchases & Subscriptions

If VoltPlayer offers in-app purchases, subscriptions, or Pro features, all transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not directly access payment card numbers, payment passwords, or full payment credentials.

To verify purchase status, restore purchases, or provide membership benefits, the app may process subscription status, transaction identifiers, purchase dates, expiration dates, and other necessary information returned by Apple.

8. Third-Party Services

Depending on the app version and feature configuration, VoltPlayer may integrate the following types of third-party services:

Third-party services may process necessary data according to their own privacy policies. We strive to minimize unnecessary data collection and only use such services within the scope required to provide features, improve experience, or maintain app stability.

9. Permissions

To provide relevant features, VoltPlayer may request the following system permissions:

Users can manage permissions in system settings. Disabling certain permissions may cause related features to become unavailable.

10. Children's Privacy

VoltPlayer is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a guardian believes a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect user data. However, since internet and device environments are not absolutely secure, users should also take care to protect their devices, accounts, passwords, playlists, server addresses, and media resource links.

12. Your Choices & Controls

Users can manage their data in the following ways:
